Listen to Align’s Work From Home Playlist While You Work From Home

While you work from home, each day may start to feel bland or repetitive. To bring a spark to your day, we’ve created a “quarantunes” playlist to listen to while you’re stuck at home. Whether it’s motivation to work hard, affirming our feelings of loneliness, or looking forward to being back in our office, these songs will fit the mood perfectly.

Lots of us enjoy listening to music solo while we work throughout the day, but music is also a great social connector. At Align we use music to celebrate wins, rally around a big project and when socializing together. You can also use this playlist as a fun way to jumpstart your daily huddles.  Kicking off a daily huddle with a fun song is a great way to bring some energy into a remote daily huddle.  You can match the mood of the day or the topics to a song, or just choose something to make your team smile. There is often an awkward minute or two at the start of every virtual huddle while everyone is logging in.  Playing music during that transition not only makes that more pleasant, you can signal the official start of the meeting by ending the music.

If you are hosting virtual team activities, adding music to the background is another way to make everyone feel connected. Matching a fun tune to the activity and playing it while everyone logs on, helps create a virtual environment more similar to in-person events.

R.E.M. – It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)

Bee Gees – Stayin’ Alive

Try to stay inside, avoid unnecessary contact, do whatever you can to stay alive.

Britney Spears – Toxic

We wouldn’t be quarantining if COVID-19 weren’t toxic.

Fleetwood Mac – Don’t Stop

Since we don’t know when this pandemic will end, we have no choice but to “keep thinking about tomorrow.”

Generation X – Dancing With Myself

Since most dances violate the CDC’s six feet apart guidelines, the only person we can dance with is ourselves.

The Police – Don’t Stand So Close To Me

Another song perfect for the six feet apart rule.

MC Hammer – U Can’t Touch This

If standing within six feet is dangerous, then touching other is a major red flag for the spread of coronavirus.

Celine Dion – All By Myself

Besides immediate family, this is how we’ve been living the past few weeks.

Gloria Gaynor – I Will Survive

As bad as things seem right now, you and your business will get through this. You will survive.

The Beatles – Getting Better

“I’ve got to admit it’s getting better, a little better all the time.”

Louis Armstrong – What A Wonderful World

During these stressful times, it’s important to remember all the beauty and nature that surrounds us and how blessed we are to live in this world.

Elton John – I’m Still Standing

Despite all the blows you and your business have taken from the coronavirus, the economy, and the loss of use of your offices, you’re still standing.

Green Day – When I Come Around

We’re stuck inside for now, but once this all blows over we can finally head back to our favorite places and see our favorite people. “No time to search the world around because you know where I’ll be found… when I come around.”

Heart – Alone

Alone… how we are unfortunately spending most of our time.

Travis Tritt – It’s A Great Day to Be Alive

What else needs to be said? As tough as things can be, you sometimes just need to smile and cherish each day.

Natasha Bedingfield – Unwritten

Even as a pandemic makes life tougher, you still have the power to control you or your company’s story.

Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’

Just keep that optimism that things will get better soon.

Van Morrison – Bright Side of the Road

Even though we’re stuck inside and things look bleak, the ability to look on the bright side can always help us feel better.

Rainbow – Since You Been Gone

You’re probably missing some of your loved ones and friends right now, so why not sing a catchy song about it?

Rachel Platten – Fight Song

As you and your company face a tough battle ahead, don’t lose the fighting spirit needed to make it through this crisis.

Queen & David Bowie – Under Pressure

Working may feel like a tall task considering everything that’s happening, but don’t let that hold you back!

Bon Jovi & Jennifer Nettles – Who Says You Can’t Go Home

Sure we may be stuck at home, but that might be nice. This song is about forgetting about usual life and enjoying being at home with those you care about.

Blondie – One Way or Another

One way or another, whether through virtual Zoom meetings or interactive software (like Align!) your business will continue to work like always.

ABBA – Thank You For the Music

During these times, some great songs to listen to is something we should be extremely grateful for.

Phil Collins – In the Air Tonight

You never know what could be in the air tonight, so make sure to wear a mask!

Rufus Wainwright – Hallelujah

Despite all the struggles you’re experiencing currently, you still have plenty to be thankful for. Take a minute to count your blessing.

Bob Marley & The Wailers – Three Little Birds

“Don’t worry ’bout a thing. ‘Cause every little thing gonna be alright.”

Al Green – Tired of Being Alone

You might be beginning to miss your colleagues and friends as your quarantine, and this tune will echo those feelings.

Bill Withers – Lovely Day

Like some of our past songs, this will help you remember that even during this time each day is a gift.

Kelly Clarkson – What Doesn’t Kill You (Makes You Stronger)

The COVID-19 crisis is a major strain on most companies, but if you pull through you will be stronger and more ready for anything than ever before.

Stevie Wonder – Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing

Pause and remind yourself that everything is going to be okay.

Stealers Wheel – Stuck In the Middle With You

If you’re stuck quarantining at home with family, children, or roommates you can probably relate to this one.

Twenty One Pilots – Stressed Out

Don’t lie, you can relate to this one way or another.

Michael Franti & Spearhead – Good To Be Alive Today

Another reminder that as bad as things seem, there’s still time to smile and feel blessed every day.

Dolly Parton – 9 to 5

You might not be out on the street where the traffic starts jumping, but chances are you’re still working 9 to 5 from your home each day.

Alan Jackson & Jimmy Buffet – It’s 5 o’clock Somewhere

An after-work relaxing mindset isn’t always the worst thing.
