You Deserve to be Seen

100% of your team should be empowered to contribute to company goals, aware of their most important action items, clear in how their work feeds up to collective goals, and confident that their accomplishments are being recognized by the rest of the team.

I’ve heard many positive stories from our users about how Align has improved team dynamics by giving frontline employees direct line of sight into how their day-to-day actions are impacting company-wide strategy. The following features in our roadmap are all ways in which we are looking to amplify everyone’s impact and keep them focused on the most important ways they can contribute.

Calendar-view of all your action items

We’re designing a new consolidated view where you’ll be able to manage all of your tasks, stucks and top to-dos for the day, all in one location.

You’ll be able to search your other team members’ action items and see everything in a calendar view. It will also be available in the mobile app for those on the go.

We’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback on our Top Priorities feature, and we think this added functionality will make it even faster and easier to plan your day with your most important next steps to drive your company’s strategic goals forward.

Team accomplishments feed

We think it’s very important for every member of your team to be recognized for their contributions to the team’s growth and success. I’ve had so many good conversations with Align users about how motivated they’d be to document their daily tasks and updates if they could be sure teammates were seeing this information.

To that end, we’re working on a team accomplishment feed.

If you complete an important task tied to a company initiative, make significant progress on an important priority, or unstick a teammate, you’ll get a shoutout on the feed. The feed will be able to be added to your Company Dashboard or in you Huddles.

Configure notifications

Lastly, when team members have made progress on priorities or completed important tasks, we want to make sure you know about it right away. We know you’re often on the move and aren’t going to have the time to search through Align for updates. We want to make sure the most important pieces of information about your team’s goals progress get to you quickly and easily.

So, we’ll be adding more ways to customize the Align updates you receive through e-mail and the mobile app. For example, you’ll be able to receive e-mailed summaries of all of your Huddles. Or, you can get a push notification in the morning of your Tasks due that day.

These are some of the ideas we’ve heard from you all already, and we’re interested in hearing more about valuable notifications you’d want to receive.

How Do I Learn More?

Consider this overview just the beginning. If you’re particularly interested in any of the features I mentioned in this post, please let us know so that we can get you more involved. That engagement could take any number of forms:

• We can have a one-one-one call to talk in more detail, so you can provide more feedback and ask more specific questions.
• I can include you in our update groups. That means when we have scheduling updates, design mockups, or any updated news on features, we’ll let you know first.
• You could also join our testing groups in order to get early use of a beta version of features.
